Rise of the Youpreneur Book Review

Rise of the Youprenuer: The Definitive Guide to Becoming the Go-To Leader in Your Industry and Building a Future-Proof Business by Chris Ducker

In late 2014, internationally acclaimed blogger and podcaster Chris Ducker coined the term “Youpreneur” to describe the rise of the personal brand entrepreneur, a new business model that very few people saw coming. Since then, the Youpreneur has risen to the top across sectors. A Youpreneur transcends the old rules of business and builds a sustainable business from the foundation of their experience, interests, and personality—their personal brand. Youpreneurs draw an engaged, loyal audience even as they pursue varying, changing interests. They play by their own rules, and they reap the benefits. Ready to pivot for the last time, guarantee the success of your business, and become the go-to leader in your industry? Chris Ducker will show you how to develop the Business of You and build a future-proof business model.

And now for something a little bit fun...a book review! Been awhile since I've done one of these over here.

I've been pretty serious about doing the Miracle Morning for the past six weeks and I have been quietly working through my stack of personal development and marketing books. I heard Chris speak on a few podcasts before I finally subscribed to his podcast and then after bingeing on a bunch of episodes, I decided to buy his new book.

Guys, this was great! Chris GETS it. This was a fast and easy read, but it really provides a roadmap you can absolutely use to get from Point A to Point B. If you know you want to build a personal brand around yourself, but are overwhelmed by all of the information that's out there, you need to get this book. It walks you through Building, Marketing, and Monetizing your brand in a very succinct, straight-forward fashion.

You will get so much mileage out of just following the method Chris lays out in the book. BUT. He gives you a wealth of bonuses for buying the book! If you look in the book, it directs you to a reader's only area. AND you can email your sales receipt to Chris's team to get even more goodies. I discovered this when I was looking around his website and even though I bought the book about five weeks ago, they still sent me my bonuses, no problem. If you're at all interested in how to use your book as part of your marketing, just follow Chris's lead and see what he's done on his website with it.

I'm kind of gushing, but I do think this book will be an awesome resource for you all. At 262 pages, this book is packed with information, but not so long that you'll get overwhelmed! But if you're still not sure, go and listen to an episode or two of Chris's podcast. And then you'll be reading this book in his voice, which is extra fun because he's English!
