Social Media News: August 2019
Social media is CONSTANTLY changing. So what’s an overworked small business owner or entrepreneur to do?!
Relax! I’ve got you.
Each month I recap the biggest changes in social media so you can stay informed and adjust your marketing strategy accordingly. Here are the highlights of what you should know from August 2019:
-IGTV Desktop Publishing is Coming: Woohoo! I’m VERY excited about this new development. As I’ve been saying the past few months, IGTV is an Instagram feature you need to not be sleeping on.
-Pinterest Rolls Out Better Product Recommendations: Are you on Pinterest? The platform recently rolled out a “picked for you” feature that will help users find more of the things they love - which could be YOUR product!
-Pinterest Adds Story Pins: I think we can now safely say that every platform has their own story feature, can’t we? Except for maybe Twitter. Though it wouldn’t surprise me if they do, too. Anyway, Pinterest added a new Story Pin feature. Except instead of disappearing after 24 hours, these Story Pins seem to stick around. Click here to read more about this feature.
-Pinterest Also Added New Video Pin Features: Using video on Pinterest just got easier! Among the updates are an improved video uploaded, pin analytics, and pin scheduling support.
-Youtube Announces That Youtube Giving is Out of Beta: Youtube is making it easier to raise funds for your favorite charities and causes. Fans will be able to donate directly to a campaign on Youtube. Click here to learn more about this awesome feature.
What do you think of these changes? Which one are you most excited to try out? Let me know in the comments below!
